As Hurricane Michael draws to a close, our property was hit with several days of thunderstorms. The rainfall quickly filled all kinds of crevices in the woods and our seasonal creek is now flowing rapidly. We decided to explore one side of the creek!
We could only go so far due to all the trees and brush, but it was gorgeous! We found waterfalls at every turn and even cleared a little dam to make way for more flow. Pretty soon we plan to explore the other side of the creek and remove some natural dams.
Unfortunately, some trash has made its way into the creek from litterbugs throwing it out their window while driving. We plan to do a trash clean up with some friends come Spring. Can’t wait to see how it goes!
